Lunch With Friends

My Nan had lunch with her friends every Wednesday. She cleaned the shower in her nickers, served us fruit for breakfast on silver platters, played canasta, loved to entertain and drink bubbles. She adored the birds that came and fed in her garden. Feeding the birds that visit our home is part of my daily ritual. Socialising doesn't come as easy for me as it did for my beautiful Nan. But my friendship with the birds is unwavering.
