Jaca baby!!
Oil and varnish on Canvas- handmade meranti timber frame
26cm x 27cm
When I was heavily pregnant with my third baby, I planted a row of jacaranda and silky oak trees down the driveway of our 100 acre property. This was before I knew anything about planting; about soil; about a healthy beginning for tiny seedlings- that should never have been dropped straight into our concrete earth. Only 2 have survived. The one closest to the house is now old enough to bloom, shedding purple blossoms underfoot, and reminding me of the wisdom I accrue as I grow older. And of course, never forgetting all the mistakes which are there- to be made. I seem to be making a lot lately. And it’s OK -(Angie McMahon says so and I believe her).
